Trump Fires Acting Attorney General Over Ban

President Donald Trump has fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates  for her defiance of the President’s travel ban for people arriving in the United States from seven predominantly Muslim countries.

Yates had wrote a letter stating that she was not convinced that the executive order was lawful and stated that the Department of Justice had “a solemn obligation… to always seek justice and stand for what is right.”

The White House released a statement on Yates that read,” The acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, has betrayed the Department of Justice… Ms. Yates is an Obama Administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration.”
