Petraeus was being considered as successor to Flynn for national security adviser

Former Central Intelligence Agency Director General David Petraeus was among those considered to be the successor to Mike Flynn as national security advisor. Petraeus pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of mishandling government information after lying to federal investigators that he had disclosed classified information to Paula Broadwell. who was writing an authorized biography of the general and with whom he was having an extramarital affair.
