The American Healthcare act would increase the number of uninsured people by 24 million, but would save the Federal government $337 billion according to the Congressional Budget Office.
The architect of the plan, House Speaker Paul Ryan actually likes the numbers stating, “Well actually I think if you read this entire report I’m pretty encouraged by it. It actually exceeded my expectations.”
Another supporter of the bill Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore) replied to the scorching health bill appraisal by the CBO saying, “The CBO score was incomplete because it does not include parts of the GOP plan not included in the current repeal bill.”
