Paul Ryan has not seen any evidence of Obama wiretaps.

Appearing on CBS’s Face The Nation, House Speaker Paul Ryan was asked by host John Dickerson if he had seen anything to suggest there were wiretaps in Trump Tower during the election. Ryan responded, “No.”

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer downplayed the President’s wiretap claim during the daily press meeting Monday. Spicer stated, “The President used the word wiretap in quotes to mean broadly surveillance and other activities…”

Spicer was asked, “Can you say affirmatively that whenever the president says something we can trust it to be real?” Spicer replied “If he’s not joking, of course.”

Kellyanne Conway also defended the president’s claim that the Obama administration had him wiretapped during the election. In an interview with NorthJersey, com she said, “There was an article this week that talked about how you can surveillanceĀ  someone through their phones, through their, certainly through their television sets and any number of different ways. And microwaves that turn into cameras”

Conway defended her claims of microwaves with cameras to Chris Cuomo in an interview the next day on CNN saying, “I’m not Inspector Gadget… I don’t believe people are using the microwave to spy on the Trump campaign. However, I’m not in the job of having evidence.”
