Steve Miller says “the powers of the President to protect our country are very substantial and will not be questioned.”

On the February 12, 2017 edition of CBS’s Face the Nation,  interviewer John Dickerson asked senior White House policy adviser Steve Miller a question about the President’s travel ban being blocked by the courts. “When I talk to Republicans on the Hill,  they wonder what has the White House, what have you all learned from this experience with the executive order?”

Miller responded, “Our opponents, the media, and the whole world will soon see, as we begin to take further actions, that the powers of the President to protect or country are very substantial and will not be questioned.”

Miller also appeared on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos to defend President Trump’s claim that voter fraud was the reason he did not win New Hampshire in the election. Stephanopoulos asked Miller if he had the evidence. Miller responded, “This morning, on this show is not the venue for me to lay out all the evidence.” He also commented, “George, go to New Hampshire, talk to anybody who has worked in politics there for a long time. Everybody is aware of the problem in New Hampshire.”

Miller ended with, “We know for a fact that you have massive numbers of non-citizens registered to vote in this country. Nobody disputes that. You have people who have no right to vote in this country, registered to vote, cancelling the franchise of lawful citizens of this country. That is the story we should be talking about. I am prepared to go on any show, anywhere, anytime, and repeat it and say the President of the United States is correct 100%”

Stephen Colbert challenged Miller to appear on The Late Show that night. Miller has yet to appear on the show.

Ellen Weintraub, a Commissioner on the Federal Election Commission also asked the President to share the evidence of voter fraud so it could be investigated:
